Vacation Camps

The Common School vacation camps run during April and February Break, Monday through Friday from 8:30 to 3:30. Our camps welcome children ages 3 to 13 for full day care. Families may register by the day or commit to all five at a discounted rate. Each day balances outdoor play, creative work, and steady routines, offering kids a place to move their bodies, stretch their thinking, and settle into the kind of learning that feels like play.

April 2026 Vacation Camp

Springfun

Ages 3-13 | April 20th - 24th | $110 per day | 8:30 - 3:30

Camp offerings include Nature Sprouts for ages 3 to 5, where young children explore the outdoors through nature walks, hands-on discovery, simple crafts, and group games, with a daily nap or rest time from 1 to 2 to honor developing bodies and brains. STEAM Society invites campers to design, build, and experiment with projects rooted in environmental sustainability, blending science, engineering, and art through collaborative, materials-rich work. Dungeons & Dragons and Magic: The Gathering combines imaginative storytelling with strategic gameplay, helping campers build problem-solving skills, flexible thinking, and sportsmanship through role playing, math, logic, and shared adventure, with no prior experience required.

  • Registration for Springfun opens March 13th

  • Nature Play offers young children a fun, hands-on experience in the great outdoors. Designed for ages 3-5, the camp encourages exploration, creativity, and physical activity through nature walks, scavenger hunts, and nature-inspired crafts.

Children will build social skills through group games, develop motor skills through active play, and gain a love for the environment with simple, engaging lessons about nature. The camp fosters curiosity, teamwork, and outdoor confidence, all while giving kids the freedom to learn and play in a safe, natural setting. Children will be offered a nap or rest time from 1-2pm daily.

  • Art Explorers Springfun at The Common School is a week where imagination takes the lead and children build something meaningful together. During April Break, campers dive into mixed media explorations, layering paint, collage, fiber, found objects, and natural materials into bold, textured work. They plan, revise, and problem solve side by side, learning that real collaboration takes patience and trust. The studio hums with focus and conversation as ideas shift and deepen in the hands of the group. Springfun is joyful, but it is also rigorous, rooted in the belief that creative work done in community shapes both skill and character.

  • New camp, same legendary energy. This February we are merging Dungeons and Dragons and Magic: The Gathering into one immersive experience. Campers will spend half the day deep in a Dungeons and Dragons campaign and half the day building skills and strategy through Magic: The Gathering. Like our very popular summer section, Dungeons and Dragons Sprint will be a blast for your camper no matter their level of experience. Dungeons and Dragons is a fantasy pen and paper role playing game filled with epic heroes and legendary dragons. Through imagination, role playing, collaboration, and problem solving, campers grow real world skills while having a genuinely great time. Audio, visual, kinesthetic, and writing activities ensure every learner finds a way in. No prior experience is needed, and all stories remain age appropriate.

Magic: The Gathering brings a different kind of magic. This strategic card game blends math, logic, creativity, and storytelling as players build decks, make decisions, and adapt on the fly. Campers learn sportsmanship, flexible thinking, and how to lose and win with grace. Whether your child arrives knowing everything or nothing at all, they can learn both games at camp. Curiosity is the only requirement.
