Who had a farm?

What child doesn’t love visiting a farm? Field trips are great, but at The Common School our youngest Summerfun campers are part of the day-to-day life of a real working farm, just a short walk through the woods from our campus. With the help of Farmer Hans at Bramble Hill Farm, kids plant gardens, feed the animals, make garden stepping stones and scarecrows, and more.

Now that’s a reason to sing E-I-E-I-O!

Summerfun at the Common School

During the summer, The Common School transforms into a vibrant day camp for kids. Open to the greater Pioneer Valley community, the program has served local kids and their families for more than 30 years. And we’re still going strong.

At Summerfun, kids dig in and get their hands dirty, happily exploring the natural world. From frog ponds to wooded trails to Bramble Hill Farm, children bask in the natural wonders of our campus, set on acres of Larch Hill conservation land. Indoors, children do related art projects, music, and drama, leaving plenty of time for outdoor play, block building, and splashing in our wading pools and slip and slide. Older campers can explore their creativity in a writing or arts workshop.
